土庫國小
竹塘鄉在彰化縣西南方,東邊與溪州鄉、埤頭鄉為鄰,西邊接大城鄉,北邊與二林鎮為界,且與雲林縣只隔著一條濁水溪相望,因為所在位置離台灣海峽尚遠,又緊臨濁水溪,是一個「風尾水頭」的好地方。全鄉土地是由濁水溪分流的東螺溪、西螺溪沖積而成,位在濁水溪扇狀平原上。
「竹塘」地名的由來,是因早期先民開發這裡前蘆竹叢生、窪地水塘遍佈的景象而得名。又有一派的說法是竹塘早期盛產竹木又密佈水塘,所以因為這個景象得名,故有舊名「竹頭」的稱號。竹塘鄉緊鄰濁水溪,鄉境沿岸分布著濁水溪小支流及灌溉渠道形成高灘濕地,河堤邊這些長得茂盛的樹林加上密布稻田提供鳥類充足食物及棲息地,所以濁水溪沿岸成為黃鶺鴒、東方環頸鴴、紅冠水雞、棕背伯勞等鳥類棲息地,是竹塘鷺鷥林分佈的區域。
在清領時期到日治時代,竹塘鄉劃分在「深耕堡」轄區內,所以早期人們提到這個區域,也稱此處為「深耕」。台灣光復後,將行政管理單位改稱竹塘鄉公所,設置鄉長,鄉的單位下再設村,所以全鄉分為小西、土庫、內新、永安、田頭、樹腳、新廣、竹塘、竹林、竹元、民靖、五庄、長安、溪墘等14個村。根據學者的研究,日治初期廣東人在彰化地區的分布情形很集中,在深耕堡中的中坑內庄、頂溪墘庄、西寨庄、頂崙仔庄、土庫仔庄甚至是純客庄,廣東人佔了100%。竹塘鄉客家人移民居住的範圍以濁水溪北岸為主,分佈於田頭村、新廣村、溪墘村、土庫村、內新村、永安村、長安村等。14村的中心位置是土庫村,土庫村地名在日治時期並非叫土庫,而稱鹿寮,也是在台灣光復後,地名才從鹿寮改叫土庫。而「土庫」地名的由來,有一說是早期居民的土造倉庫,另一個說法是,因這裡的地勢低窪潮濕泥濘,人們在農事耕作時,泥土常沾滿褲子因而得名。我們學校「土庫國小」就座落在土庫村內,四周被綠油油的農田圍繞,目前有45位學生、13位老師及3位職工人員,是一所純樸熱情的農村小學。
『多元探索 自信展能』是學校課程願景及目標,在此目標下,結合在地特色、校內外人物力資源的整合,發展以「喜閱藝術、科學食農、生命樂活以及人文社會」為四個課程軸。課程軸線下,兼採學生需求融入議題,如國際教育、戶外教育、食農教育、環境教育等進行課程設計;正式學習課程外,「學校社區學習共構」-規畫假日親子共學課程,親、師、生共同增能培力。雖處偏遠地區學校,人口極度高齡、少子女化,教育不利之環境,但轉換高齡經驗傳成優勢、假日親子共學模式,將文化刺激不足的學習不利因素,藉由資源導入與課程活化,藉利學生數少,能跨年級全員參與學習的前提下,形成我們整體最大的特色「全校參與、全體共學」,即使資源少,也能雨露均霑,看見每位土庫囝仔的多元智慧,成就每一位孩子。
Zhutang township is located on the southwest of Changhua county,bordering by Yunlin county to the south by the Zhuoshui river. It is adjacent to Xizhou township and Pitou township in the east, Dacheng township in the west, and Erlin town in the north. Zhutang township is located on the alluvial fan of Zhuoshui river and not easily affected by strong sea wind from the Taiwan Strait in the west, so it is generally considered to be a good place for land plants.
The name of Zhutang means "bamboo pond",which originally came from the place where the early ancestors found a large number of bamboos. It was also called "bamboo head." Zhutang township is adjacent to Zhuoshui river,which small tributaries and irrigation channels along the countryside form wetlands. Along the riverbank,lush forests and dense paddy fields not only are habitats for birds,but also provide them with sufficient food.Therefore,people can find diverse species of birds around the area of Zhutang Lusi forest, such as yellow wagtails,Kentish plovers, common moorhens, long-tailed shrikes,and so forth.
Zhutang township had been called “ deep farming”from the Qing period to the Japanese era. After the retrocession of Taiwan,it was divided into 14 villages. According to research, Zhutang township in Changhua county area accounted for 100% of Cantonese population in the early period of Japanese occupation. Most of them lived in the north of Zhuoshui river. Tuku village was at the center of these 14 village. It was called "deer hut"during Japanese colonial period.However, after the retrocession of Taiwan, the name "deer hut"was changed into Tuku.
There was a saying that the name of Tuku meant the earthen storage.In addition, there was another saying that Tuku meant the trousers with dirt. When people started agriculture,their trousers were often stuck with full of soil. Tuku elementary school is located in the Tuku village and surrounded by lush green fields. At present, there are 45 students, 13 teachers, and 3 staff members. It is a simple and enthusiastic rural elementary school.
"Diversified exploration, self-confidence and ability development" is the school's curriculum vision and goal.Combining with the local characteristics, the integration of human resources inside and outside the school, Tuku Elementary school had developmented "joy reading and art, science, food and agriculture, life and for happy life, and humanistic society" for Four Axis of Curriculum. Under the four Axis, the needs of students are integrated into the curriculum,such as international education, outdoor education, food and agriculture education, environmental education, etc.In addition, Tuku Elementary School plans parent-child courses on holiday.Parents, teachers, and students work together to increase capacity and develop capabilities.Although Tuku Elementary School is located in a remote area,through the introduction of resources and the activation of courses, every child can be achieved.
