一、學校沿革： 彰化縣員林鎮僑信國民小學成立於民國49年8月1日，是由「八、七水災」時僑胞及各界水災救濟金剩餘款所興建的一所小學，所以特別以「僑」字開頭用來感念當時華僑及各界出錢辦學的貢獻(民國104年升格為員林市，8月8日校名改為「彰化縣員林市僑信國民小學」)。(102年4月18日設置附設幼兒園)
1. School history: Chiao Hsin Elementary School in Yuanlin Town, Changhua County was established on August 1, 1949. It was a primary school built with the remaining funds from flood relief funds from overseas Chinese and all walks of life during the "Eighth-Seventh Flood", so it is particularly special. The word "chiao" at the beginning is used to express gratitude for the contribution of overseas Chinese and people from all walks of life who contributed money to run the school. (Upgraded to Yuanlin City in 2015, the school name was changed to "ChiaoHsin Elementary School, Yuanlin City, Changhua County" on August 8)(Attached kindergarten was established on April 18, 2013)
二、學校特色： 本校少年籃球隊曾榮獲全省少年籃球賽第一名;合唱團、直笛隊、羽球隊亦得過全縣冠軍、武術隊更是在全國武術及中正盃榮獲多項佳績，另外還成立美術班、舞蹈社團，在全國學生美術比賽及全國學生舞蹈比賽榮獲多年特優佳績，可說是允文允武的大型學校。
2. School characteristics: Our school’s youth basketball team has won the first place in the provincial youth basketball competition; the choir, recorder team, and badminton team have also won county championships, and the martial arts team has won many awards in the national martial arts and Chongcheng Cup. With excellent results, it has also established art classes and dance clubs, and has won excellent results in the National Student Art Competition and the National Student Dance Competition for many years. It can be said to be a large school that welcomes both culture and martial arts.
三、飛閱虹"僑""信"福城堡(閱讀磐石學校)
我愛看書,因為我想飛
身處資訊科技不斷翻轉變動的時代,
我們思考:什麼能力是孩子未來須具備的?什麼能力是可以一直陪伴孩子的?
於是,我們想像孩子未來世界的圖樣:
給孩子一把開啟學習的閱讀鑰匙,奠基學力的基石。
「閱讀」如同為孩子的學習接上翅膀,蘊育無窮的希望,
透過閱讀搭建和世界知識連結的"僑"樑,
潛移默化在孩子的心中建造一座”信"福的閱讀城堡;
也在充滿聲光科技的「滑」世代,為孩子灌溉一畝閱讀心田。
3. The castle with happiness (Reading Panshi School)
I love reading books because I want to fly
In an era of constant transformation and change in information technology,
We think about: What abilities should children possess in the future? What abilities can accompany children all the time?
So, we imagine the future world of our children:
Give children a reading key to learning and lay the foundation for academic ability.
"Reading" is like giving wings to children's learning, and it contains endless hope.
Build bridge who connects with world knowledge through reading,
Subtly build a reading castle of happiness in children's hearts;
In the slippery generation full of sound and light technology, we can irrigate children's reading hearts.
